We are backpackers, working for backpackers … it’s in our name and in our very spirits. We work to help you save as much money you can and to let you have a great rest, so you can travel as much as you can. That’s our purpose.

We put high attention in being at one of the best possible locations, keeping our prices low and the Hostel to be a place to rest.

It is not a coincidence that almost everything at Footsteps is for free: good breakfast, Internet, Wi-Fi, storage room, pool table, bookings, movies, books, … neither a coincidence that we have comfortable, warm place and beds. Neither that Footsteps is very quiet to be a rest place but at steps to Santiago’s best nightlife in Bellavista.

Footsteps Backpackers Hostel is located at only 130 footsteps (yes, only footsteps) from Baquedano Station of Santiago's subway. But why using the subway?, most of the best attractions of Santiago are at walkable distances! Get the best location without paying more for it!

We have the best bars and restaurants in Santiago; art galleries, theaters and craftmanship of the bohemian and amusing neighborhood Bellavista only 5 minutes away. Enjoy the best views from the greatest park of Santiago, the lung of the city, Parque Metropolitano (10 min away).

Walking a few blocks West, you will find the impressive Museo de Bellas Artes.
And if you keep walking, will get to Cerro Santa Lucía, called before Huelén by the Mapuche people. In its top, after walking through its cared gardens, you will find Castillo Hidalgo... colonial Santiago in it's essence.

And impossible to forget Barrio Lastarria, known for its amusing night life and its bars, coffee shops, restaurants and theaters. Only Footsteps!!

But our recently renovated Hostel is not only the best location, but we also take care of the room neatness at a daily basis, and we keep the bathrooms in the best conditions at every moment, so you can enjoy a hot shower whenever you want.

Besides of the cleaning and location, in Footsteps Backpackers we are interested that you would also really rest whenever you wish. We are located in a peaceful street isolated from traffic and rooms are apart from common and relaxation areas, so you can have a quiet sleep at any moment.

Not only the neighborhood is one of the safest of Santiago, but also our Hostel. For your safety, we keep a security box to keep your valuables and we have security cameras.

Footsteps Backpackers has a multicultural staff, speaking english, german and portuguese (and several Ghana dialects). We will be concerned that your stay is amusing, pleasant and easy going. We will help you organize your city tours, as well as giving the alternatives to go round Santiago and to the rest of Chile!!
