Located in one of Portland's most popular destinations. Close in, bohemian, & fun, Hawthorne Blvd is known for it's quaint eateries, coffeehouses, pubs, unique shops, and the famous Bagdad Brewpub & Theatre. A quick trip to City attractions such as Powell's Books, Old Town, Weekend Market, Washington Park, Willamette River Promenade, etc. It's the perfect blend of urban pulse and friendly attitude.

The transport to downtown is frequent and easy. This hostel feels like a hostel ought to !!!' - Paul C., Essex, England
Both 'Let's Go' and 'Lonely Planet' recommend staying with us. The hostel atmosphere is charming (dating back to the early 20th Century), clean, & safe. We have a spacious kitchen and common rooms, comfortable beds & attractive bathrooms. Outside are the front decks & side yard for relaxing and people watching. Free bagels & pastries; $1 pancake breakfasts, coffee & tea served. No lockout or curfew, & late arrivals available with prior arrangement. High-speed internet kiosk available, as well as free wireless and cabled systems for laptops. Free local phone, free linens, free parking. Lockers and a laundry machine are available, too. Tours are available from the hostel to the Columbia Gorge, Mt. St. Helens, Whale Watching, Historic Portland, and others.
